PROGRAM NOTES
Commissioned by guitarist Mark Wilson,, these songs are based on the beautiful poetry by Craig Santos Perez (which is a poem that is based on a poem by Wallace Stevens - Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird). The poems and the songs traverse timely theme of climate change, species extinction, and our evolving relationship to nature, and to the planet.
