PROGRAM NOTES
Commissioned by cellist Mary Riles, this unique song cycle is based on poetry by Margaret Atwood, from her book of poetry "Morning in the Burned House." The songs feature a solo prelude by each instrumentalist, followed by a song reflecting on loneliness and grief.
